raving rabbids

It's emotionally true.

I'm in a shitty mood and considering that the level of whiny white wankery in the last week has been HIGH, I'd like to introduce you to...

WHITE WHINE.

Thank you, rivetpepsquad, for showing me this thing of wonder, full of such gems as

"It takes over 300 dollars in gas to get from Ft. Lauderdale to the Bahamas and back. If I knew that I wouldn't have bought the damn boat, it's cheaper to fly."
- Whine by James Smith

Enjoy.

Long shot.

So, I have come up with a plan for the hair-slickage on Friday, but it will require not only effort but a lot of hair gunk.

Does anyone have a wig cap/pulled back wig that I might borrow for Hubba Hubba Revue?

Jason Lee Jones for Congress needs your help!

Friends:

Congressman Tom Lantos lost his fight against cancer at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center Monday morning. Jason Lee Jones and the entire campaign staff would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Lantos. As Jason said yesterday upon hearing the news, "Tom Lantos served this country with honor.... He can never be replaced, just relieved."

In our effort to fill his seat in the House of Representatives in a way that would make Mr. Lantos proud--by giving the citizens of the 12th Congressional District a true choice, and one who is unafraid to openly state the positions upon which he is running his campaign--we must ask you for your support in what has become an even more crucial time.

Due to Mr. Lantos' death yesterday, Governor Arnold Schwartenegger is required by law to call for a special election to find a Representative to finish out the term. That special election will take place in April. It is of the UTMOST importance that we do the following if we are to get on that ballot:

1) Spread the word about the campaign.

Slowly but surely, Jason Lee Jones for Congress is getting noticed by the media. The campaign has been mentioned in Daily Kos, The San Mateo Daily Journal, Congressional Quarterly Politics, and the San Francisco State News, but if we're going to win, we need more people to know we exist!

Sign up to email your friends about the campaign from the Jones '08 website. Contact your local newspaper, weekly, radio or television station and ask them to cover ALL the candidates who are in this Congressional race.

2) Volunteer.

Sign up as a volunteer on the Jones '08 site or just send an email to info@jones08.com. We need people to canvass, take part in fundraising, and distribute rally signs, buttons, and other campaign materials in the district. With your help, we can raise awareness about the campaign. And if you have any other special skills or talents to offer, we can use them.

3) DONATE.

Because we now need to get on the ballot not only for the June primary, but for the April special election, we need TWICE as much money for filing fees. If you've been planning to donate to the campaign but haven't gotten around to it, now is the time! Also, please don't be shy about asking your friends to do the same--you can set up a fundraising page on the ActBlue website or send an email to your friends asking for their support.

And to those who have already donated or extended their support to the campaign in other ways, thank you!

Respectfully,

Your friends at Jason Lee Jones for Congress
