Then I took Java to a park for a while.
In the afternoon, I called 911 when I noticed a hysterical woman at the corner of 42nd and Telegraph, fearing she was going to hurt herself. In the twenty minutes it took for the cops to show up, she did indeed lie down on a speed bump outside my apartment building. Three neighbors and a concerned woman driving by talked her out of the street. We sat with her until the police came for her. According to her, she lives with her family, and her two brothers are verbally and physically abusing her because she lost her job and can't afford her meds. She wanted to die because she didn't want to hurt them.
Later, I got my roxx off at Pop Roxx. Good band last night.
This afternoon whittles and I headed into the city for a couple of hours of rehearsal for Friday's Hubba Hubba Revue. I'm excited. I think this HHR may just top the last one, which is saying a lot. I'm psyched about our act. Local folks, you should come.
