Protest the Apartment Owners Association Friday 4/25

The Apartment Owners Association (AOA) is holding a workshop to teach landlords how to EVICT tenants at the Oakland Airport Hilton. The AOA has contributed over $200,000 to pass Prop. 98 in California to kill rent control and render other tenant protections like just-cause evictions useless.

The AOA is a landlord group whose president, Dan Faller, has called pro-tenant politicians "terrorists" and "suicide bombers" and urged landlords to "join the AOA Army of Housing Providers." Faller also wrote, in a letter asking landlords to contribute thousands of dollars to the Yes on 98 campaign, "You've worked hard providing housing for others who chose not to provide for themselves.... You gave up a lot of weekends and other goodies to make it possible -- something that others were not willing to do."

This Friday, join seniors, families, tenants, and working-class people as we let the AOA know that we are united against Proposition 98!
