And I didn't get more than three hours of sleep before I was up and headed to work at the Malcolm X Jazz Festival yesterday. I wish I'd had more time to hang out there--I met a number of folks while sitting at the JCO table and ran into a few people I haven't seen in a while (Felix, brownstargirl, Bamuthi). It was a lovely day to hang out in a park and listen to jazz.
I did get a little nap in before going to watch roller derby last night (S.F. ShEvil Dead versus the cheating Richmond Wrecking Belles). Hit the afterparty at the Ruby Room for a while, then met up with a friend and went to a house party in Albany for a little bit. When I came home, Java was missing. I spent half an hour wandering the streets at 3 in the morning looking for her, came home, and then got a call from some guy who'd found her about 3 1/2 blocks away. I think she was headed to whittles, since I picked her up half a block from her apartment. Java was coated in axle grease (maybe she tried hiding under a parked car? I dunno) and got shampooed THREE TIMES when we got back home. She STILL has oil in her fur, and managed to get it all over my bathroom.
So, tonight will be filled with more dog baths and cleaning to get the gunk out of my tub. Stupid dog.
And now a random request:
Does anyone have an mp3 of "Unbelievable" by EMF?
