All made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same.

I remember watching the very first episode of this show a year and a half ago with ksea and being absolutely astonished. I've put it in my Netflix months ago, gotten the disc, and just managed to not watch it for weeks and weeks even though I'd heard great things about it. I remember how rapt we were, in my dark, warm living room, staring in awe as the suburban housewife Nancy learned how to be a drug dealer.

Sadly, by the time I'd seen the Season 2 finale, I was cheering on gunmen with their sights trained on her. I think it really went downhill. All the strength got wrenched out of its main character as she pursued a man abusive to her and her children. She turned into the weak stereotype the writers had hitherto avoided. I seriously was over it when the second season ended.

But somehow I managed to not take Season 3 off the Netflix queue and replace it with THE BEST SHOW IN THE UNIVERSE The Wire Season 5 like I was supposed to. I watched the first three episodes of Weeds Season 3 a week ago. Since then? They keep sending me mislabeled discs. I apparently can't see the 4th and 5th episode. Ever.

Also, they've retired Malvina Reynold's "Little Boxes" intro from Season 1. They're still having various artists (Ween, Dresden Dolls) cover it, but it's a much shorter version.
