The richest girl in town.

So, I had planned to write a post about my weekend and how lovely it was. But then I got sick. Really sick.

But anyway. My weekend. I guess it began with my last-minute appearance at the Pirate Cat Radio benefit last Thursday, acting as the pick-up artist for that night's burlesque performers, including Honey Lawless and the Riff Ditties featuring the vocal stylings of whittles. mc_kingfish and I decided our drinks at Fat City were broken and went to get them fixed down the block at the DNA Lounge, which made the night not only more fun, but pretty damn drunk. Hooray.

Friday I managed to make it to the Just Cause Oakland Year-End Dinner, and though I was tired and out of it, I had a really good time and got to see a friend I met in Miami during the March on the Mayors back in June. Later, wandered across the Bay for a clear liquor-only house party, was killed with laughter by flipping_hades and vicious_wench, and was exhausted by the time I got home.

Saturday night was hot-tubbing, wine-drinking, and chit-chatting at 1eyedkunt's dad's place in Piedmont. What a wonderful, mellow night.

Sunday was more hang-out time, first at a dinner party with Shannan, the friend in town from Miami, and her girlfriend, and then fondue at dahled and supernaz's place. So nice to catch up with them and see conditionbronze for the first time in a while.

But now.

Now I am sick.

I woke up sick on Monday and it's gotten progressively worse. I've been wheezing and coughing so badly that for the last 24 hours my ribs have hurt to the touch. And now it's finally moved into my sinuses.

I cannot wait until this is over.
