On Wao.

Okay, I've finished it. As someone else mentioned, I didn't really get drawn in until something like page 80--Lola's chapter. Still feel some of the writing was unnecessarily messy and confusing--yes, I had the "I SEE WHUT YOU DID THAR" moment, but still. The narration--the primary narration, anyway--reminds me of something I tried to do with a novel I thought I'd write once. Diaz fell into some of the same traps I did; problems with how involved my omniscient narrator was to be in the story were some of the main reasons I nixed the book, actually.

But anyway.... Those of you who have read it, thoughts?
