  • Fri, 11:25: Alright, I've absolutely had enough of AT&T Uverse. Looking for a fast, reliable ISP in the east bay.

I hate to say it, but I've had incredibly excellent service with Comcast business class for the last 5 years. No unscheduled outages, and extremely rare scheduled outages. Far more reliable levels of bandwidth, especially during peak hours.

Unfortunately, it's fucking comcast. Sonic.net might be able to cover you, and I've heard many people rave about monkeybrains.net.

I looked at MonkeyBrains before, but they're only in the city, it seems. I hadn't considered Comcast business class--I don't work from home every day, but it would be nice to have faster service when I do. (I remote in to my machine in the office.)

I switched to Sonic. It's sadly a bit slower than AT&T but they use the same pipes. And their service is phenomenal. Call, get a human.

My problem comes when I try to stream something like Hulu that doesn't have dynamic adjustments to its stream based on traffic - then my laptop's browser bogs down.
